so suggestion would be like:
Collapsible text-file attachment system in the post editor:
- Upload
.txt,.asc,.pgp, source code files, etc. - Renders as a small block with filename/size - click to expand/collapse the content inline (like GitHub's file viewer or Discourse's attachment toggle)
- Optionally apply syntax highlighting for recognized code file extensions
- The forum already has an
/uploads/directory and file-upload infrastructure (avatars, ads), so the backend storage piece exists, it'd mainly be adding the attachment UI to the editor, a file type whitelist, and a JS expand/collapse widget on the frontend.
This would let users share PGP keys, config files, and source code snippets without cluttering the thread.
