suggestion

based on post #16 over there:
https://monero.forum/thread/shouting-out-open-source-projects-i-use?page=2#reply-2367

@ancap_objectivist was trying to share a PGP public key block and asked:

couldn't find a generic file upload menu in the editor, am I missing something?

so ended up pasting the entire PGP key inline, which is messy and takes up a lot of space in the thread

so suggestion would be like:

Collapsible text-file attachment system in the post editor:

  • Upload .txt, .asc, .pgp, source code files, etc.
  • Renders as a small block with filename/size - click to expand/collapse the content inline (like GitHub's file viewer or Discourse's attachment toggle)
  • Optionally apply syntax highlighting for recognized code file extensions
  • The forum already has an /uploads/ directory and file-upload infrastructure (avatars, ads), so the backend storage piece exists, it'd mainly be adding the attachment UI to the editor, a file type whitelist, and a JS expand/collapse widget on the frontend.

This would let users share PGP keys, config files, and source code snippets without cluttering the thread.

(this thread was written by LLM and "retard formatted by myself", sry lol)
