Patreon Competitor?

@nolan The UI look clean, I love it ❤️❤️❤️. Man this is a dream. Finally there's gonna be a platform that can become alternative to Patreon using crypto and with xmr that is. I know that this is gonna be helpful to people that cannot get sign up to paypal etc.

Alrighty folks, i got some updates from today.

First, our domain name is live: https://openfans.at/ you can visit and if you wanna change/edit anything please let me know. We have email address as well (using my own subscription, which will be free) hi@openfans.at is our email address now.

I created a xmrchat page for big donations https://xmrchat.com/openfans and create a new wallet on my laptop, you guys can still send tips on my profile but whenever it's big amount, i want to send to xmrchat page.

Adding screenshots here about donations and how much I sent from my profile to xmrchat. Want to be transparent on this :)

I have $0.22 on my wallet, probably gonna donate more for paying that left one :)

@sepia, I am glad you like the UI. One of my goal is try to provide clean UI/UX for humans, not bots :)
I believe we really need this platform, and I banned on Wise last year, even tho it was legit business account and legit business. Actually I need a banner for xmrchat page, maybe icon as well. Let me contact on xmrbazaar. Just to record, I wanna pay on my pocket this one as well. Donations should be wait on wallet for beta release + server costs.

Hi everyone. Thank you @nolan for giving me the opportunity to contribute to the project. I've made a few sketch for the xmrchat banner and here i will share it. Please give me feedback and opinion which one is your favorite.

This one i put emphasis on the creativity part so I include tools like pen, brushes etc. I should add camera and more but this is the general idea of it.

The second draft i still put emphasis on creativity but i add a cute character in the middle as the representation. Feel free to share your thought

It gives the vibe of open community. also put a lens frame effect i thought it's cool like that.

Make sure content moderation is a top priority because you're pretty much guaranteed to have the worst people on the internet posting content on your service if it gains any traction.

@monerica Absolutely. It will be troublesome if someone upload abusive content. For now the current solution is to do manual review. In the future when more user join it gonna need more efficient method of curating the creator. I think using Invitation/referral code method is the best moving forward. At first people will be reviewed by the website owner/moderator then those user will be able to give invitation code to other fellow creator that they find interesting. So it will have minimal moderation need in the future because the user are all self-moderating themselves

@sepia It's almost always going to be required to have manual review. Monerica received multiple illegal submissions just today. Only things that are auto-approved are reviews that do not contain links or a blacklisted terms.

Moderation is almost always required for sites that run over Tor or deal in Monero. XMRBazaar was just yesterday allowing a literal drug market to boost their post and they often have other things like pills and weed show up. They are relying on volunteers or content that is flagged to get by but this not only hurts their reputation but creates a bad impression for Monero. They do not take moderation seriously and probably feel like it would be too much effort to moderate every submission but this is really why their platform is a disaster and people complain of scams constantly.

You can do what you want, referrals can help. But in the end, if you leave the door open, bad people will come in.

@monerica you are right about moderation, these days scammers always attacking on everything in day 1.

@sepia mentioned about manual review system + invite on creators side which I am working on that. It's gonna be like Clubhouse example, every creator gonna have 10 or 5 invite code and there is only way to register as a creator with it. That way, we can reduce the spammer accounts and moderation's heavy job.

Plus, I am thinking verification badge, only that creators can publish without need a manual reviews or something like this.

Update on project: This weekday I will be busy on my own service work, had two clients and two project waiting :) wish I had some more time but probably will have 1-2 hours everyday in weekdays, but weekends will be spending more time on it.
