I couldn't disagree with you more. There's plenty of space to live a life not controlled by any elites or anything like that. Its not like we really need a lot, and its not like anyone benefits from going after us. Its really not the pie in the sky fantasy its made out to be. I'm not saying that people should build some kind of anti government resistance territory, on the contrary I am advocating for people to cut their dependencies and move off grid. I'm not fussed about this paranoid idea that the elite will want to come after me.
At the end of the day we might argue all day about whether the concept of a state is evil or not. Humans are evil. Some of us depraved. Money is evil. Government follows money. My opinion on government is irrelevant but you can't tell me not to hate them.
I think we will also disagree about the direction of humanity. In my eyes its like the matrix movie: the sheeple trapped in the matrix and the sheeple fighting for Zion are allowed to perpetually coexist. There will always be pockets of civilization even when most people are living in full on Han Song Communism.
Libertarians are only human so whereas there are some among us who are fantasists, some of us are more determined.

There's really not much that a man needs to live a full and healthy life. So my proposition is to just make sure you can get those things without the permission of someone who'd rather you were dead.
Its really not so hard:

• Money: Paper cash and crypto paper wallets.
• Land: Move somewhere not industrial (avoid towns, tourism, monoculture). Buy land if you can afford it, otherwise join others.
• Supplies: Nature provides. Grow plants, feed animals, regenerate ecosystem.

The idea is to save a pocket of civilization, not to save the world. Realism, not fantasy.

I have actually done what you suggest. 99.9% of the people who recommend this solution have not.

It works great until a Capitalist Banker in New York decides your land is an ideal place for a new data center or a 40,000 illegal alien housing development like the one near me in Colony Ridge, Texas.

A political ideology that depends on there always being one more exit 10 miles further down the Interstate is a bad joke.

I was torn between Slovenia and New South Wales actually. I've probably chosen the latter because of the incredible abundance of offgrids / permaculture in the area. Its an entirely more sophisticated way of living! I'll probably end up an illegal though. dgaf.
I lived on a wonderful offgrid in Thailand, but the location was very wrong; too much industrial toxicity.
What made you choose Spanish maxxing?? Its funny because my dad says Costa Rica is the one. Mexico is stunning.

@Nebuchadnezzar_II well I started learning Spanish because I wanted to learn a second language as a personal goal. I chose Spanish because I already had taken some classes on it, but I like many of the cultural aspects of Hispanic countries (music, food, hot women). But I really enjoy studying it and traveling to different countries and hanging out with locals is really amazing. I think I'd have a really good chance of raising a large family because tradition is a lot more important over there.
I'm planning on visiting Colombia in a few months. I have connections there and with Argentina so I could get a part time job somewhere and live off the podcast along with that.

Hopefully you'll be able to sustain a good living from the podcast; you're an importent figure in this growing space because of the quality of your content... I think you'll do well. How do you plan to live off monero? Logistically, I mean, how will you pay for lifestyle costs that don't accept xmr? Apart from having connections, what made you think these places in particular are right for escaping the matrix machine, if that was even part of your consideration. Sounds like a dumb question out of context but these are dumb times lol. I think maybe you are just looking for a traditional way of life away from hyper modern bullshit spaces.
Personally Spanish would've been my last choice, but thats just me! Maybe I'd have chosen Russian or Turkish or Chinese or something, but alas in reality I chose javascript lolol and the women are not so hot.
