What your opinion of piracy?

@avarice That’s a strong argument. It reminds me of a game I bought a while back. It was a paid, offline app, but after a while, they pulled it from the Play Store. When I reached out to the dev, they straight up said the game was becoming a PC exclusive and dropping Android support. We were all left wondering why... Imagine an offline, paid app suddenly vanishing, and the dev basically saying, "If you want to play, buy the PC version." Removing the phone version entirely is just dirty.

@bulletbill22 About the Jews and the money printing thing, the wild part is how they make every movie or series paywalled, then use those funds for other projects that align with their agenda. Remember that Call of Duty controversy? They mentioned wanting to set the next one in Iran, which is wild. Imagine history being rewritten by a propaganda game, not to mention how they handled the Vietnam stuff.

@BraveSmoke Lmao, that’s even longer than my streak... I’ve been pirating since the Java phone era. Back then, the first gem I found was "Stolen in 60 Seconds" (or "Stolen in 30 Seconds"), along with other Java games like Prince of Persia.

As for contacting devs directly, aren't they usually radio silent? They almost never respond. Honestly, the only devs who actually answer my questions are NSFW game devs lol.

On the topic of I2P, do we have a better client than the stock one? Setting it up on Windows is such a pain in the ass. (Why Windows? sadly for work, they always build app on windows and give zero craps about cross-platform compatibility, so I’m forced to use Windows on my main PC).

@UsualCat I pirate all my stuff but I wish that I can make a good income so I can support the creator that I pirated from. Hell I would clean and cook for them if I could. I just love what they made. And it's only because I pirate them that I know who need my support. So yeah I support piracy.

Piracy becomes more and more necessary as companies continue to fuck consumers over in the name of increasing share price, which is partly a greed thing and partly because all these boomers retirement funds rely on number go up.

When you buy a netflix or a subscription in general, you are renting servers from that company SO technically speaking, Pirating is owning things which can only be rented.

@Bukkit Using netflix as an example, netflix doesn't OWN 90% of the movies/shows it streams. They only own the Netflix originals. If I pirate a movie from 1995, I'm not depriving netflix of anything.

By this logic, owning a physical copy of a movie that's on Netflix that isn't being sold anymore is piracy.

@NickZ2 Honestly for me, yes. But also no. If I had a $999999999999 salary in my hand, I would maybe still pirate things, it really depends on the "things" that I pirate. If they are good and worth it, I buy them later, but if they are just a piece of garbage, ofc I pirate them. Most of the time, the things that I pirate and never bother to buy the originals of are Western films. "Sometimes" my friend tells me to watch some film, they say it's good, but when I check, it's just "okay" and the price is absurd so I ditch it instead.
