What your opinion of piracy?

Fully hax...effectively bypassing cookies and the entire YT platform. Downloading works with yt-dlp (youtube development mode magicks).

@UsualCat this is the way, it's what i do...though i don't read cartoon books. Unless it's the OG Lone Wolf and Cub manga's. Not read the new ones.

You're shooting yourself in the foot by staying on windows...especially as a XMR-er. The amount of backdoors on windows, as well as windows recall.

Linux is easy to use, you have more control over your computer, it's free, and it's open source. One cannot say they are a freedom fighter when they still support the ogligarchs who shaft the world.

WSL is 'windows subsystem for linux'; its linux running inside windows

On the one hand I have a smooth experience on windows; no adverts and no microsoft services coming to bother me. I can run wsl and linux containers, virtualbox and partitions on the side.

On the other hand, maybe I should use linux for better crypto privacy. I think the first problem with my crypto privacy to clear up would be exposing my ip to public nodes on unencrypted chains!

I'd love to be a freedom fighter, and I believe the first step is to have no fear, and the second step is to build an organic life and the third step is to spread it around. But it can never be safe because money / war just spreads better and leverages tech more.

Let's take the music industry: musicians make fractions of what they are worth compared to record labels who dick them around and streaming services that pay them pennies. I have seen literally thousands of acts live and I feel much better doing that, and paying for merch/music in person, because I know that the money is actually going towards them. I view my downloading of music (in minecraft) as a way for me to get into their music and recommend them to friends or on the internet. There are so many artists who have benefited from internet exposure like this and I laugh at the argument that piracy has held any artist back. They would have made far less if it weren't for piracy.
Many forms of media are like this. Be it television, sporting events, books -- if I am able to enjoy the content (in minecraft) I then am far more likely to spend money on that content.
I have slowed down a lot on piracy in minecraft in recent years, but with how bad streaming services are it is now easier for the average person to find other ways of getting around. I don't blame them at all.
