Hello,

I created this thread as a space for anyone who comes across interesting discoveries or ideas related to Monero and its community — such as new wallets or non-KYC debit cards. While Monerica.com already serves as a comprehensive directory, this thread can act as a complementary starting point that leads you there as well.

@Unstirred Something that is not well made because most of the thinking was made by a computer

@XMR lmfao I know what it means. I apologize for the confusion, could you clarify what you're referring to? I could have phrased that better. Great explanation, though!

"@mynymbox and the site code was made using Claude paid for with a Visa card from @CoinCards"

@Unstirred I was referring to this.

I don't think the monero community appreciate any kind of AI coded software. The mods on reddit were telling people to not use a monero p2p software someone made using AI. I don't blame they I would never use it tbh.

The era of manual coding everything is dead. Of course people can use AI incorrectly and some highly specialized coding will require review.

That's 100% false. It like you saying painting is dead just because AI can do it. Plus most AI just give you generic stackoverflow code which are very generic and doesn't utilize the true potential of, for example, library you're using.

"I don't think the monero community appreciate any kind of AI coded software."

true, like, as general guidelines for LLM use i like to think it that way:

  • never for anything in production environments, coders would also loose a bunch of time for nothing just reviewing AI code that they wouldnt be merging anything...
  • for personal projects that dont matter tho, sure, whatever, like i dont get the hate linus torvald got recently for vibecoding some quick tool that didnt matter just for his own use on his own super niche personal project that no one will ever use but himself lol, and like, it might be shit at coding but it's aight at debugging, for example Kimi K2.5 inside opencode: https://opencode.ai/ been pretty aight at debugging linux distros or whatever, and since it running shell commands, then can also tell it to use "pkexec" instead of "sudo", just dont break ur system u know lol

Everything Monerica has released in the last 2+ years has been AI assisted. Saying it's just generic stackoverflow code might have been true 3 years ago but that's not true anymore. But, it can't just build the whole application in 1 prompt, it still requires lots of back and forth. It depends on what you are building, if it's just line-of-business/ CRUD apps then AI is the way to go. If it's editing the Monero project code base, it might not work well since that's new territory the models are not trained on.
