meanwhile bitcoin core still fine since that's literally the official bitcoin software
cryptobros wanting to be all fancy and signaling they doing the cryptocoin thingies by having some "hardware wallet" is just next level cringe ngl, and only asking for trouble regarding $5 wrench attack potential with those...
the official software will always be the most secure one
if there's an issue with a 3rd party wallet (hardware wallet or software wallet) then the official one (in this case bitcoin core) wont be affected
meanwhile if there's an issue with the official one, then that would mean every single other wallets out there would be impacted anyways
so pretty much would just recommend to always use the official thing...
bitcoin core for bitcoin
monerod / monero-wallet-cli for monero
"air-gapped" can be achieved with a normal computer too, so imo those "hardware wallet" are literally just gimmicky bullshits
cant be feeling bad nowadays about cringe cryptobros being cringe cryptobros
like was saying in a different thread couple days ago or so (now deleted), mining really should be the starting point to even understand what that "blockchain technology thing" even is
like, people that start with mining get to do those napkin math and understand the whole tokenomic of the whole thing, how that's what's supporting the network by validating transactions included in the blocks that are being mined
meanwhile, "investors into that bitcoin thing" are buying the thing on coinbase/binance, purchasing those 3rd party hardware wallets, not learning shits about anything... fuck those people nowadays, cant be feeling bad about them fucking up on the literal basic shits about the "cryptocoin thing"
