COLDCARD Mk3 Security Advisory. If you generated a seed on a Mk3 after firmware 4.0.1, your funds may be at risk. Mk4, Q and Mk5 are not affected based on our early analysis.Read the advisory and migrate carefully:

The attack is ongoing and may effect other versions as well. It is definitely impacting people as there are multiple tweets I have seen from people who lost funds.

More conspiracy stuff https://xcancel.com/BenJustman/status/2084766262899752985

Two of Peter Gray’s past engineering projects, prior to becoming the CTO of Coinkite:

• Writing the firmware and software for an OEM-sold USB keylogger
• Conceiving and programming KVM-over-IP hardware for remotely viewing and controlling computers

@xenu update on my previous reply. More and more sus by the hour. Been quite a bit of discussion over on nostr about him. Never heard of this Peter Gray before today, but a lot seems really off about him. Geting more and more difficult to rule out this being intentional

@nemesis I'm not sold on it being a conspiracy but it is suspicious and worth keeping an eye on. It is still more likely they are incompetent and were running on hubris.

@xenu Yea, it definitely could be just incompetence, but the more I am hearing the technical details of the change explained, along with all the shit I've been seeing about this Gray guy, I just have a real hard time believing anyone who should know better being that incompetent, whether through hubris or otherwise. Obviously to those affected, really makes no difference as to the why, but my gut feeling is malicious intent. If I'm wrong I'm wrong, but that's just how I see it currently.
