My fave food is nesrly anything with unique flavor and texture , a unique eating experience. I love going to Korean places because the entire meal is an experience, starting with the accompaniments (platters of different pickled / spiced vegetables), and ending with barley or cinnamon ginger tea...
Korean hot pot is lots of fun, with them bringing a whole set up so the pot keeps cooking as you eat, and the rice in little metal dishes hehe (I've had seafood hot pot, and my fave dishes were things like nourishing whole cornish hen stew, blood sausage, pig intestine stew.. korean spice is hot but flavorful, not just burning)
Authentic Chinese is also fun, where each dish is usually a 'sharable portion' for the whole table. Cumin lamb, double fried pork belly, heheheh
Indian is interesting, but I only like buffets, since a lot of dishes seem similar but slightly different, and committing to ordering just one is tough...
I once went to a Brazilian owned Japanese restaurant and got a 'sushi rodizio' -- but it turned out to all be FRIED sushi. I felt sick by the end...
But going to an actual Sushi buffet (where the little plates are on the conveyor) is fun! The robots that serve drinks too!
And actual Brazilian Rodizio is super tasty!
But I've grown to dislike fusion or westernized food places. And food courts. Food courts suck. Especially Brazilian food courts. The only good Brazilian food court food is the buffets. [Spoken from years of frustration and bad food court food]
