Whether you're a digital nomad or simply someone living a "normal" life who wants more personal freedom, XMR is the most effective tool available.

It's a survival tool in a world that's tightening its grip through excessive government intervention, absurd regulations imposed by unelected people who have no idea what they're talking about, and by statists who simply watch and allow things to happen.

Monero works everywhere. Monero works for everyone. You just have to know how to use it, in detail, and there's nothing anyone can do to stop it.

@superquantum I hate that its come to digital currency, but fuck it, XMR is where its at, no fucking doubt about it. Cash is still king, gold and silver are the only long term worth shit, but reality is what it is. LFG

@nemesis Yes, i would also prefer to go back to a proper gold backed monetary system...or at least do go back to bartering.

Unfortunately we have no choice as the system overlords are have been pushing the digital new world for absolutely ages (bunch of dickheads). We have no choice but to go digital...and so the best alternative is XMR, the only cryptocurrrency that aligns with the core principles of financial sovereignty and privacy alongside being the only one that has a future.

I would urge all to head over to Monero Academy and learn about XMR if you're a beginner.

@BraveSmoke Fully agree. If we going digital, at least there is ONE option that isn't a CBDC, a stablecoin (de-facto CBDC), or a corrupted and heavily manipulated certain other coin. One thing 'analog' that I am huge fan of (and this is pretty much just a US thing) are the Goldbacks. Unfortunately, they are too new so not many places anywhere accept them. But I do stack those and bullion (silver and gold) when I have extra funds to do so. At minimum, they are easily liqudated should finances get too tight, and they won't lose value long term.

@nemesis A wise choice my man. Over here in England we don't have gold backs. What do you guys use them for? Are they basically like bullion coins but in cheque form and for larger quantities?

@BraveSmoke No actually they are very small denominations, like 100th of an ounce and smaller (although there are some larger). The idea is to be able to make gold portable, divisible and spendable, without having a pocket full of ounce and fractional coins. They're issued privately, but by state. The states they have been issued under have deemed them legal tender (only about 5 or 6 have come aboard). Some crazy ass proprietary process infusing nano scale gold particles with plastic to make em durable. And for those who want to participate in this, there is standardized conversion from these to fiat when used in transactions so everyone is one the same page. Compared to bullion, premiums are high (largely due to the patented and costly production process) , but the principles behind outweigh any of that

@BraveSmoke No problem homie. I do what I can. And while I don't know what the laws in other countries around use of these would be, theoretically they can be used anywhere, so long as there is a buyer and a merchant willing to take em. I'm a horrible promoter of anything, but I've been pushing the idea of these as best as I can to anyone no matter where they are. The idea is solid. Its just a matter of adoption. Monero started with one person, and now its global. Goldbacks are the analog version IMHO.

And if you wanna look into em more out of curiosity, goldbacks.com
