From a privacy standpoint, which do you think is more effective these days: cash or XMR?

Depends the amount and what for. Right now in most places you aren't going to be able to pay with Monero, so for groceries and coffee, cash wins. If I was moving to another country and as a store of value, Monero. This may change in the future but right this moment that's how I see it.
