This week monero has been melting but what is the reason?
Why is monero crashing now?

Everything is pegged to btc, btc is going down, saylor's ponzi scheme is sounding the alarm
P2Ppool had an exploit exposed, haveno had another exploit exposed
EU is about to shut down a lot of CEX
Hackers that had gotten 120m in USDT (70m frozen by Tether) and moved some into XMR may be steadily selling, offramping, trading
Economy woes?
I'm kinda hungry for it though, really wish haveno wasn't down xD

People are starting to wake up to the Saylor ponzi.
I think that the huge swing over the past 2 weeks (7th to 20th June) was probably caused by one big buyer who then immediately sold just to break the paper trail. I think this is very common in monero because its so useful. I also think it affects the price so much because we're a relatively low market cap compared to our relevance. Obviously I'm just speculating but I am pretty confident because this particular price pattern deviated very suddenly from the path followed by btc and eth.

Paper hands die young
I see it more toward "getting back to the baseline". Monero price has been hovering around $300 for year to date. Sometimes you got occasional pump because someone make a large purchase. But sailor selling btc and its price crash probably also a factor for this particual drop
