tg SimplaX

I’m curious to know which one people prefer between SimplaX and Telegram. Personally, I lean towards SimplaX. Telegram requires a phone number and, in most cases, seems far less anonymous than SimplaX. SimplaX feels more like using a random ID address—no registration is needed—and it seems to offer better support for Tor. Plus, I view Telegram as just an ordinary daily chat app that relies on centralized servers, whereas SimplaX feels superior and, in some ways, more convenient.

Telegram has nice features, but you always have to remember that it is super centralized, and everything can be taken from you in an instant. I prefer it to Whatsapp... but I def like SimpleX, though I worry whether it can survive, the financial situation of the team is concerning
For real shit, simplex
For normie shit, tg works, but I always worry it'll all be taken away

Telegram is a useful tool.
Simplax is much smaller.

@avarice

@NickZ2 However, it is very difficult to register for Telegram using a +86 mobile number; furthermore, for some reason, crackdowns on Telegram usage in China have become the norm.
