Thoughts after mining Monero for three days

Mining hasn't been profitable in years. Even with a larger hashrate you're going to be spending more on electricity than you'll recieve from mining. If you hodl long enough XMR price will increase enough to cover costs, otherwise mining is for idealogues who want a healthy network.

@bulletbill22 I feel like I might as well just let the computer run Monero mining whenever it's idle; there's no harm in it. Since the PC is on all the time anyway, I can earn a little something during downtime—every bit helps.

This is unfortunately the reality of mining Monero. It's better to leave mining on in the background as a lottery ticket with solo mining unless you already have invested in a nice CPU.
I always try to mine when my computer is running. It might not be a lot of hashrate but it helps the network and that's what matters to me.

I mined in a pool for a while. The returns are meager—there's not much to be done about it, especially if your PC does less than 25 kH/s. That’s why I solo mine every now and then. You never know, I might get lucky, lol.

@fantuan does solar panel so expensive on your place? somehow i thinking about it on near future lol. already build some custom rack for it

Mining is basically only profitable if electricity is free.

Mining isn't really to get rich off of, it's to support the network.

and what the mining pool if i can look at it

in short bigger mining pool = harder to get any share
smaller mining pool = rare to get block, but higher share

but still all of them depend on your hashrate....
(i had 7k Hashrate back then get 10$ after 2 hour on some small mining pool)

You need to hack about 1000000 computers, then make them all mine for you to earn fat stacks. That's how the big miners do it anyway.
