Run a Monero node.

You don’t need permission, expensive hardware or a server farm. An old laptop can verify the chain and help strengthen the network. It doesn’t need to run 24/7. Any uptime helps, though more is better.

If you’re not sure how, there are guides, community forums, YouTube videos, and even AI chat tools that can walk you through the setup.

Decentralization only works when people participate.

Support XMR.

@BraveSmoke Just a heads up, the sync will take a few days, and it will slow down a lot toward the end of it, at times seemingly like its doing nothing. But that is normal. Good luck.

FYI the size of the blockchain is 270 GB according to my data.mdb file. We are currently far below 1TB, which is what I think you meant @nemesis.

@nemesis yep sync takes forever. Well it only took me 2 days for a pruned node. Better to not check it frequently or you'll be disappointed lol. It goes slower the closer you get to 100% at least for me.
