The crypto exchange NonLogs.io has confirmed that it suffered a hack resulting in the loss of multiple cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Monero, Wownero, and USDT.

Based on the balances disclosed the exchange lost roughly $50,000 USD

At this time NonLogs has not publicly shared details about how the hack happened. It is currently unclear whether the breach involved a compromised hot wallet, leaked private keys, server access, an application vulnerability, or another attack method.

The NonLogs.io hack is especially unfortunate for privacy coin users because the exchange was one of the only places to buy and trade Wownero. Since Wownero has very limited exchange support, losing access to a platform like NonLogs.io will have a noticeable impact on the WOW community.

This is a grim reminder of why you should never leave your coins sitting on an exchange. Even if an exchange seems trustworthy, there is always a risk that it could be hacked and drained.
