The study in question: https://arxiv.org/abs/2607.07062
Today, the Monero Research Lab discussed this: https://libera.monerologs.net/monero-research-lab/20260729#c697030
Fortunately, it looks like this attack is only possible if the attacker has a fuckload of Tor guard nodes (which...well, could be true if there is a state actor, and if rumors of Tor glowing are true). Nonetheless, the findings here are very interesting and it looks like the MRL is in agreement that these findings have merit. I still need to read this study all the way through, but the gist here is that your IP can be doxxed through some subtle tricks which can dox your IP.
Going to be reading this all the way through tomorrow :)
