Yeah, you're not wrong about the title. I was talking about baby food - or industrial food for baby in general.

This topic just popped into my head after a random YouTube video showed up on my homepage

It made me remember how my family (especially my mom) always told me that when I was a kid, I was raised on breast milk and simple mashed fruits before transitioning straight to "real food." Back then, I asked her why I didn't get commercial baby food—doesn't it boost growth rates and all that?

She said no. My grandma said no, so she said no. Also, back then, we didn't use disposable diapers. So whenever I peed or pooped, I'd get cleaned and moved (which I hated, and I'd usually cry). My mom would tell me, "See? If you poop, I have to clean it. Next time you need to go, let me know."

Somehow, as time went on, whenever I needed to poop, I'd make a distinct gesture, get carried to the toilet, and do my business. Because of how I grew up, I was also pretty eco-friendly and practical about food. Back in kindergarten, when the teacher handed out candy, I'd just take a reasonable amount, like 1 or 2, instead of going wild and hoarding the whole basket like another kids who crying if anyone stopped him.

On top of that, I somehow learned to read and write fluently while still in kindergarten, whereas most kids picked it up in elementary school.

So, here's my question
Do you think the natural food we ate as kids had a massive impact on our bodies and brains, or is it just my own bias? And maybe the biggest credit goes to my parents for raising me the right way?

I honestly hate when i see people feeding their children baby food. The children will become dumb when they grow up. Also, I'm pretty sure that baby food RUINS the child's body when they grow up. (Unnecessary body fat, low minerals and nutrients).

@Bukkit the other "side" was i think back then, baby food is just "superfood" since its made in factory so they can arrange the mineral and other to fullfill the need of the baby

sadly seems when i adult now. its not the case.... they just corporate who just care about money....
right?

and yeah its wild i ever talk to my friend
who on the class back when they're kids, they eat those type of food

and now i realize that my mom made great choice back then :')
plus, the advertising for baby food back then is just wild...

@xenu major difference in baby food when you were a baby and baby food now. And its more so the baby formula that is the problem. There is next to nothing in it that can be remotely considered safe for consumption, especially for a newborn.

Yes, OBVIOUSLY, natal, neonatal, and even pre-natal nutrition factor into human development. Breast milk was DESIGNED to nourish you. Industrially produce baby food was designed to drain your wallet.
