Monero xmr jobs

MVP Launch of Monero.Jobs

Today I have launched the MVP of monero.jobs, a fully functional job board / freelancer market place that operates on XMR-only, with invoice generation facilitated through xmrpay.link.

The initial announcement got great traction, including a repost on X from @monero - I hope to gain this traction again!

For the time being the project is non-profit / completely free.

Let's create a new circular economy!

Now there are 200 freelancers from all over the world have registered on monero.jobs so far, among them:

  • Developers
  • Designers
  • Editors & Proofreaders
  • SysAdmins
  • Marketers
  • OSINT Specialist
  • Financial Accountant

& more

Have a task / project in one of those areas and need to hire someone?

Then simply create a client profile (anonymous, without Email, if you want to) and put up a job offer; you will get proposals in no time!

the fact that i had to check what you are talking about led me to the conclusion that the answer is probably 'no, not yet' :D haven't seen anything re: 3d modeling etc., but feel free to use the search function once in a while.

gratz on the milestone!
not many reviews of the freelancers people tho..
well i too broke anyways, like 0.25xmr/h or 0.1xmr/h like how many hours would it take for a full mmorpg from start to finish? i just too broke lmao, they could be doing things for free too... like just sayin, too many people that learned about "open-source" only because of bitcoin or whatever so $$$....
anyways, still nice to seeing the site grow! that's awesome O_O

"Freelancers" are easy to come by, but finding clients and jobs is much more difficult. I'm not exactly sure how you can drive more clients to the platform, but it's absolutely essential and really the core piece of the entire project. If you want the platform to work out, you need to go hard on promotion to clients and not freelancers. Otherwise it's like OnlyFans with only one or two small time creators, which isn't going to be worth the time. Lots of simps out there, but what matters is getting the creators. Similarly, you need to find clients for the freelancers on the platform.

Marketing wise, there is the usual SEO, but what you can also do is send out emails to all the vendors on Monerica letting them know that if they need any professional services, they can use monero.jobs for that purpose. There are other crypto focused listing sites like cryptwerk too. Outside of that, I can just presume networking is going to be primary way to get the clients to monero.jobs.

@Yuzuki yes, that's of course the biggest thing.

I have already reached out to some projects, reviewed Monerica & xmrbazaar (but didn't do outreach yet), and will continue to people in my network. Also checking regular crypto job boards; but for regular projects it would take me some time / effort to convince them off XMR in the first place.

@CR1337 I just realized... A feature that would be extremely easy to implement, but would go a long way is whether the job requires PII / KYC or whether they are willing to hire anons (even if they are operating under pseudonyms). The Monero community is a bit divided into different camps with some being entirely anonymous running over i2p or Tor, while others do attach their real identity to their accounts and activities (i.e. they are legit). I think this would be an easy feature to implement that would provide some additional clarity before getting in contact with client.
