🎲Monero.win launches version 2

One of the long-running privacy-focused gambling platforms in the Monero ecosystem, monero.win, has announced the launch of version 2 of its platform.

The service has always focused on simplicity and privacy. Users can place bets simply by sending XMR from a wallet address no registration, email, or passwords required. The platform also avoids analytics and tracking systems, keeping the experience aligned with the privacy philosophy that surrounds Monero.

🆕The new version introduces several technical improvements. One of the most notable changes is the removal of the “n+1 block wait” system that previously delayed bet results. Now bets are resolved in the same block they are confirmed, making gameplay significantly faster.

The update also introduces a new dice game mode and changes to roulette mechanics. The house edge has been reduced to around 3.23%, which is roughly half of what it used to be. According to the announcement, all bet types now have equal edge and the green slot pays 30x.

Another feature added in v2 is a public bet mempool. Each round displays the aggregated totals of bets placed by players in real time. This allows observers to watch how a round evolves before it resolves on chain.

The platform also implemented reliability improvements such as automatic refunds in edge cases like transaction errors or unusual output structures, along with additional wallet synchronization checks.

🛠The developer reported that the first version processed more than 6,000 XMR across over 27,000 bets, showing that despite being a niche project it has already seen notable usage within the Monero ecosystem.

 2. 🎩**Discussion around missing 867 XMR**

The second topic that gained attention in the community involves 867 XMR that appears to be unaccounted for in Monero’s community funding system.

❗️A discussion was opened in the Monero project repository titled “Unaccounted FFS funds (867 XMR)”, referencing funds from the Monero Project Funding System, commonly known as the FFS (Forum Funding System).

👨‍💻Some community members claim that the funds were handled by Riccardo Spagni, widely known as FluffyPony, and that the accounting for those funds has not been clearly explained. The post alleges that 867 XMR from past funding proposals cannot currently be traced in the expected accounting records.

The discussion has generated significant debate on social platforms and forums. Some participants are calling for clearer documentation and transparency regarding the historical management of the FFS funds, while others argue that the issue may be the result of incomplete records rather than any intentional wrongdoing.

At the moment, the situation remains unresolved and continues to be discussed by members of the Monero community.
