This weekend Zcash went on another massive rally, touching over $1500. Things only have gotten weirder and more nonsensical as the cryptocurrency that has almost no adoption and corporate backing is now being touted as Bitcoin's replacement by seemingly every crypto twitter influencer.
While this has been frustrating, it can't be ignored that Zcash's performance this year has had a net positive effect on Monero, with Monero being seen as the alternative to Zcash. All the trends look positive for Monero right now and enthusiasm about it is at an all time high. Today, Monero touched above $600 (as of this writing) before pulling back. Is Zcash's pathetic shilling actually a launchpad for Monero to be recognized in the mainstream? Is Zcash actually based? Or was this just another hack or ransom payment that will dump back down?
