bro I can't make my mind up about dogecoin.
On the one hand, scrypt hashrate has really grown over the years. On the other hand, the actual monetary use of dogecoin and litecoin is niche and maybe meaningless. Maybe bitcoin will just eat every competitor like agar.io by which I mean all asic mined coins like bch, doge, ltc, zec, etc are all swimming with a big fish.

@Nebuchadnezzar_II You get the point. Monero could have just been another coin, much like Dogecoin or Litecoin (I understand the role of those coins, and mean no disrespect). The thing is, we needed a cryptocurrency that truly embodied the characteristics of genuine, libertarian, agorist electronic cash.

The technologies integrated into Monero have addressed each of these requirements—even if some challenges remain. One such advancement is more decentralized mining, made possible by RandomX. It has allowed home computers to reclaim their share of the network's hashrate distribution. But I don’t always focus on that aspect; to me, it’s just the cherry on top. In my view, it’s the zero-knowledge tools that are the most remarkable.

Monero is climbing the mountain.

@StealthAddressGuy man I couldnt disagree more. RandomX is what makes monero possible. It would not be possible to run a blockchain encrypted like this on an asic mined chain because the miners would be targetted like mixer devs. Zec is allowed to exist because it doesnt work. Randomx makes botnets competitive so the chain can survive on stolen electricity which cant be regulated.
The dogecoin is made possible by scrypt. Its obvious monero and randomx have a future, but does scrypt have a future? I'm not sure. Its just less profitable sha256, but its also a meaningful diversification for mining operations?

I made a blog post about this:
