I've used up all of my AI's tokens (The fall of a genius programmer).

It is a temporary feeling. You just forgot that you always feel and can't write anything. Usually you bash your head to solve a problem, which can take hours, days or weeks. With AI you receive answer instantly. You just have to write, use search engine and stuff for some time and you will be back on track.

P.S. But I don't think you can continue working on your AI project, you would just have to research the project and it's code from ground up

or in opencode there's Deepseek V4 Flash that's free, so far it built me that thing:

Qwen 3.6 locally for like full codebase audits and things like that since it can do 1M context window
then the Deepseek V4 instance which is faster than selfhosting it for most things

even without "vision" it still has enough understanding of math and geometry to analyze things through building harnesses and even using playwright to analyze screenshots and whatnot which even without "vision" it still works good enough tbh
character isnt made by the AI tho, it's from mixamo directly but the terrain, sky, textures and everything else is the AI
it was able to debug characters animations and whatnot which few months ago with different models it wasnt able to yet, there's some progress and it's free, dont need to go broke on that

what's your point? followed along the sentdex videos back in 2017/2018 to build my own chatbot thing from scratch in python while chatgpt came in like 2022
which it was so much worse back then for math things
like, you could prompt 10 digits or whatever calculations and it was getting those right but single digit addition it couldnt cause wasnt trained enough on the low numbers, that was fun
now it's better tho

AI is still shit, gotta audit the documentation it's writing against the official specs multiple times but that's that, it's aight at auditing shits, so you get it to write slop then make it audit the slop against official specs, else it's literally just slop, your brain is slop tho, being all like economist this or that, shit's even more retarded than the AI in your brain at this point

If you only able to program with AI you might look up how the AI programmed i the 1st place.

I've never used AI. I should probably get with the times and try it out at some point. I think I'll try self hosting like @GamingResearchLab suggests. I'm sure the electricity costs will be far beyond what I would pay for tokens, but I don't like the idea of giving big tech access to my code.
