How to optimize monero mining?

I've never tried mining before, and I don't know about that setup, but I have a couple of ideas anyway.

1. You could use the output heat for something useful. That way you might save on some heating costs which changes the profit equation, and you wouldn't need the cooler.
2. You could monitor the hash price against your electric price and run an algorithm to switch mining on or off based on your preference of when its worth it.

@coolminer Use XMRig as your mining software instead of the standard GUI wallet miner, you can use Gupax for a convenient GUI version. If you want to pool mine, use P2Pool.

I'm also using a Ryzen 9 7900, great CPU for efficient, low power mining. What hashrate are you getting with xmrig? Are you undervolting?

@FiatDemise I'm getting around 12 KH. I don't understand how to undervolt some say to lower cpu voltage directly some say use PBO curve optimizer, which one to use?

@coolminer try gupax. Its quite simple to setup, got a easy to understand GUI, can point extra pcs to the main thru XMRig Proxy. And no need for your own node. I got 5 in a single cluster. No hassle at all

@nemesis i run alpine linux cli only, maybe gupax works in cli?

@coolminer I didn't think it did, but appears you can. No clue if setup / use that way is as easy as using the GUI, but I would assume you'll be able to figure it out if you already dont use GUIs
