How did one think of making cryptocurrencies?

i mean, u even tried to use the banking system? that shit is literal boomer tech
banks dont work on weekends...
banks can freeze funds, close accounts...
banks have limits on payments, gotta spend hours and hours on their AI customer support phone calls to be like "please bank, can u increase the limit? i just tryna do a purchase thing but it says cant use the bank for that amount..."
then the whole administrative work just to open or maintain a bank account... so much headache

with monero creating an account is done in seconds, no administrative work headaches
can just use it without permission from the bank, no amount limit, literally whenever even on weekends...

banking system is just flawed af u know, are people really ok with still using that tho? idk, seems weird to me i guess

@Bukkit insane init. The more you learn about this shit the more reveals itself and it just keeps going for years of incessant q and a. The depth of hidden nuance to this industry and technology are a new Kabbalah and a Mandelbrot set without end.

@gangar A lot of this depends on the country, there is some countries where banks aren't so bad and some where transfers are completely free and instant too, but here, the banks will charge you fees for doing pretty much any action, including closing your account, and after hours the fees can be even higher.
