@Nebuchadnezzar_II I explicitly called it a basic framework. Calling it obvious doesn’t identify anything wrong with it. You initially accused me of overcomplicating the subject but now the explanation is too basic to have substance. 🙄 Goldilocks had less trouble finding a suitable bowl of porridge than you’re having finding an explanation you can’t dismiss without addressing it.
Market structure includes the sequence of swing highs and lows, whether that sequence is continuing or changing, and how it fits across timeframes. Support and resistance are part of that explanation. Reducing everything I wrote to “look where support and resistance are” leaves out most of it.
Mentioning my experience answered your dismissal of my competence. I didn’t offer it as proof that my explanation was correct. I gave you the reasoning to examine.
If you think IB contracts demonstrate that the practices I described are designed to make traders fail, explain the connection. You’ve asserted it without showing it, and there’s no sales offer in the reply you’re answering.
Whether I have an open trade right now doesn’t establish whether any of those points are correct. You don’t need to go line by line, but you do need to identify an actual error if you want your dismissal to amount to an argument.
But you seem to have it all figured out though so I’ll leave you to it. Wouldn’t want any basic, intermediate, complicated, or advanced explanations to get in the way of your conclusions, now would we?
