Not cracked out the 1m candles in a long time.
Potential short setup right here.
I saw the price break down on the 1m candles at $410 dollars and scrabbled to sell but couldn't figure out defi shit and ended up selling for $407 :-(
Liquidation is $555.
Funding rate has sharply turned negative indicating high risk for my position.

Lets see what happens!

We'll see. I'm surprised to see the price climbing, I thought the Kraken limits would cause speculators to divest. But it also makes sense that as liquidity gets crunched (on DEXs) the price will increase.

I don't have the stomach for day trading. BUT if I were going to make predictions, it'd be that the price steadily rises, crashes for around $360/coin, then continues to rise and settles in a little under $400/coin. My predicts are bad tho.

@Nebuchadnezzar_II Your money your choice so I certainly not telling you what to do. But why not just buy gold and/or silver as a long term investment and sit on it? Those will always go up. Maybe slower than other assets, but they will go up. Always have, always will. And if the world goes to total shit ie everything breaks, you can still use them as money post-collapse. Same cannot be said of anything requiring electricity to access.

@bulletbill22 The only reason I've got the balls for this is because I'm using very little money. I find it very interesting though. Maybe I'll hold this position for up to a month.

I think a lot of the speculation is happening on decentralised futures markets like hyperliquid, rather than on CEX. And this volatility is also caused by the coldcard hack driving both big buys and big sells: slippage in both directions. There will also be automatic mechanisms in place to take advantage of that, so there's a lot going on!

I don't have any price targets, but I expect to close the position next time there's a correction on the daily candles, and it stops being so volatile. Hard to predict much more than that imo... Time will tell!

@nemesis In my opinion, there is no such thing as a safe investment, and one should diversify any funds one is not willing to lose. To be honest, my gold is in ethereum, not physical, which is vulnerable to loss of electric as you said. But as the same time physical gold comes with its own problems like verification and portability. In my opinion, the best physical investment is basic, reliable bicycles! (And the tools and parts to maintain them)
