trading

Not cracked out the 1m candles in a long time.
Potential short setup right here.
I saw the price break down on the 1m candles at $410 dollars and scrabbled to sell but couldn't figure out defi shit and ended up selling for $407 :-(
Liquidation is $555.
Funding rate has sharply turned negative indicating high risk for my position.

Lets see what happens!

This is my first time trading with hyperliquid and I've noticed something incredibly misleading already.
My portfolio value is falling, which is not shown prominently.
But my pnl is rising, which IS shown prominently.
This is probably standard but losses from funding fees are hidden in the details. I'm not shocked, I know their business.

@xbmrtc All my life, in pretty much every endeavor, certainly every major decision, I am met by people telling me that such adventure is stupid, that I would be better off copying them as they copied the next man, that this is safer and smarter (when really they mean more comfortable and virtuous).
In reality there is no safe path as there is no virtue. Only the contrarian survive. You must surely agree? Now there's a cutesy friendly monero clan, a comfortable home, but the fact remains that such things are the enemy of science.

@Nebuchadnezzar_II what does this even mean?? trading is statistically proven to be a poor choice, 70% of traders have net losses, and only 1-3% of traders consistently make money.

Neither path is safe, but the one where you believe in something (privacy and sovereignty), is much better than the one where all you care about is fiat currency

@xbmrtc
Trading is too complex a space for such statistics to prove much. All you've proved is that there is risk... no shit. You had better ask WHY most traders lose money. This is a fascinating lecture on the subject. You might not like the speaker's image but his arguments are intriguing:

Bro I only have like $400 paper currency for groceries n shit. That's my only fiat. Why make all these assumptions just to put me in a box of bad and other?
