When I originally created this site I made email verification mandatory to help reduce spam. However this has ended up hurting user anonymity more than helping.

In the next update email will be optional and accounts will be activated instantly. We will still keep the rule that all posts are moderated until the user is level 2.

Additionally, I’ll be improving the CAPTCHA to make it more Monero related instead of simple text that can easily be bypassed with OCR.

This will be included in the next update :)

What about JavaScript? There is JavaScript but is it required? There is a new tag on Monerica for "JavaScript Optional" in addition to "No JavaScript". If the forum works without JavaScript, it can be labeled JavaScript Optional.

@monerica The forum works without javascript. The only thing that wouldn't work is the live chat and the WYSIWYG
