Tomorrow the elections begin here in Brazil, and honestly I am a little worried about what might happen. Recently, we had the closing of some embassies due to alleged terrorist threats by criminal organizations. We have also had abrupt changes in the authorities related to what they call “democracy,” among other suspicious things.
So, if something serious happens here, maybe a coup d'état, we have no exact idea of the consequences of this act. We fear the confiscation of state money, irregular imprisonments, and even bloody civil wars.
It is not surprising to see a sandcastle collapse in the face of the waves approaching from the sea. You study and discover a fragile structure hastily wet. And in the end? It is abandoned and one builds one of stone, so that it can withstand the trials.
About Monero, it is not talked about much here. No regulation or threat for those who use this crypto. But I think that, after discovering that it is a real and efficient way to escape the state fiat system, they will take measures. Nothing that will stop us from continuing to use it, but you know: they have weapons and we don't. I am not stating that this will happen, but it would be somewhat of an omen, since other people are also assuming this scenario. I hope I am wrong.
