MoneroForum

What’s been going on with MoneroForum lately? It seems like everyone is saying it’s been taken over by the Canadian government and that the administrators are nowhere to be found—can anyone explain what’s happening?
2026-10-2717-08-29Another thing that strikes me is how inactive the administrators of MoneroForum seem to be—they might only post once every few weeks.
I recall a similar situation with a Chinese-language dark web forum (known as "串子会"). The administrators vanished for 8–10 months without a word. Eventually, someone discovered a vulnerability and exposed the server's IP address, shortly after which the forum disappeared entirely. At the time, I couldn't help but wonder: could it be that the police had taken control of the forum, waiting for users to leak enough information before finally closing the net?
Could the same thing be happening with MoneroForum?

Oh my...

i'm already on a XMR chat group there, not sure if it's the official XMR XMPP group. XMPP is the shit.

I started using riot.fm aka now known as Matrix.org since 2018, but having found they have ties/origins in Israel's telecomms network, i have stopped that shit.

People are going back to IRC due to it's intergration with i2p, but IRC is deader than dead and public too. Signal, telegram, Session, Discord, Mumble are all ripe for compromise...the only one worth it outside of XMPP is SimpleX, but that shit janky as hell.

XMPP has been around for ages and we ought to bring it back.

Anyone wanna chat on XMPP, please find me over at: brave-smoke@yax.im

You can get your local xmpp client either via Jabber or Dino.

  • PS: People are on here due to the capabilities of earning XMR...but the forum admin gone cold like my egg tart in my fridge and this being a public place, is very dangerous for those heavily watched...like my kindred back in the motherland behind the Great Fire Wall. If you want to earn XMR, i would highly suggest you look into my posts about the blurt blockchain. A graphene based blockchain that originates from Steemit.com ; people blog and vlog there and earn the crypto, which through something called the hive-engine.com (it's from the Hive Blockchain, sister blockchain to Blurt), we can convert to LTC/BTC for free, which we can take off chain, to various non kycnot.me swap services, you can then swap these $Blurt > $LTC into da X.

Here's a video of me showing peeps how that works: https://blurt.media/w/rNwD4JLMMX4jdD9oKysLQk

I keep sharing this with people because this is a great entry point for those who cannot invest, nor have the fiat-tokens to do so. Why not blog and become a xmr content creator? I've been doing this since 2021 after my magician youtube channel got demonized (for exposing the convid fraud) and deleted (fck em all). There are many mainland Chinese, Koreans, Japanese and many far easterners from so called "poorer" countries using these graphene based blogging blockchains (Steemit.com/hive.io/blurt.blog or blurt.media) as a side hustle. Not to mention users from America, England, Canana, Europe, and others. During the recent years, many so called third world countries were suffering from economic collapse (2022 South America?), people were using these graphene blockchains to blog and earn, then they were able to buy food for their families. Ukrainians in the first Russian invasion back a couple years ago were doing the same...these graphene based blockchains were instrumental.

Okay bye

@BraveSmoke That XMPP thing is just what I've been looking for. Looks very smart. I tried matrix and simplex and found them contentious. Painlessly onboarding users is so crucial for an alt chat app. I love that you can just go to https://chat.conversejs.org/# and make an account with a username and password. That's a breath of fresh air; thankyou very much for the recommendation!

I just messaged you as Ishimura in case you're wondering who tf is this nigga
