@Nebuchadnezzar_II my gut tells me there will be a major drop in the coming months, so do what you plan on while the getting is good. Saylor's grift is slowly falling apart, and once that breaks, its gonna be really bad for btc

@nemesis A major drop at this point would cause a huge unravelling. It would be epic. $17k would not be unrealistic. I'm not convinced thats likely though. How important is Saylor really? I've never tried to guess.

@Nebuchadnezzar_II I got 37K stuck in my head for some reason, but I can see even lower. As for Saylor, he holds a lot, his company is a huge pyramid scheme, he keeps selling btc to pay dividends on his BS stock, then happens to replenish his btc on tops. Sooner or later he's gonna have to sell a lot, and the ripple effect will begin. In some segments of the btc community, he's god. But that aside, if/when he is forced to dump a good enoughh amount, the natural reaction of investors will kick in and there will be a massive sell off (loss of confidence)

@Nebuchadnezzar_II 'Past performance does not indicate future results'
One of many investment fundamentals that Maxis ignore or think could never apply to btc.

@nemesis Its true, and thats astute of you to say.
That being said, even if bitcoin dropped to $17k I'd still be bullish because of its long term potential as a rising monetary standard. Its really got no competitor because it has by far the most hashpower.
Other reasons to be bullish:

  • Sustained sky high hashrate
  • Developing relationship (via pos) with real world capital markets like ondo finance, paxos gold / dollar, and ex.io hong kong domiciled equity.

@Nebuchadnezzar_II If it dropped to 17K, I'd buy all I could to be honest. At that price, it would be worth the risk.

@nemesis In my country, there are heavy incentives for property developers to avoid using gas appliances. Although Europe has the potential for an abundant gas supply, we limit out use of it, which is sold to us in the political guise of climate ideology. In reality, that gas will be flared off and fed to bitcoin miners. Maybe I'm crazy to think this. Why would they do that? The reason is that it avoids the cost of storage and transport of the gas, which is often an inconvient product of drilling sites and only sold as an coinsidental application. Now they want to cut dependance on it to burn for their stupid crypto coin. Its fucked, but its bullish.
