When it comes to so-called 'wrench attacks' Everyone always talks about not using a KYC exchange. And yes, that is a good start. But a data breach is not the only reason people get attacked, and crytpos are not the only reason people get attacked. Has nobody considered what you do in regards to any criminal attacking you? Like maybe be armed? You may not be able to own a gun where you live, but chances are you can own and carry a knife. Carry pepper spray. And another thing that far too many fail on. Situational awareness. Put you damn phone away and take the damn earbuds out when you are in public. Pay attention to every person you see. Head on swivel, check your six. If you feel you must, cross the street. Stay out of unlit alleys. Most crime that occurs in public happens because the victim looks like an easy target. Walk like you own the place. Present yourself with confidence. Head up. Shoulders back. Make eye contact. Can it still happen? Of course. But you can do many things that would give a would-be attacker pause as to if you are an easy target or not.
