FCMP macOS

Hello, I'm looking for someone with a mac and like 40GB of free space to try out the FCMP++ GUI wallet to confirm basic things work. The Windows GUI wallet crashes on startup, and it's only cause two people reported the problem that it's getting fixed. I haven't seen anyone try out the mac wallet yet, some basic testing is needed.

It's easy. Just go to https://github.com/seraphis-migration/monero/releases , and scroll down a bit until you see Assets. Expand that, download gui_macOS_beta-v2.0.zip and install. Let us know if you can start a node. Wait a couple days for the node to sync. Create a wallet and post your receive address here. I'll send you some FCMP XMR and you can let us know if it arrived. If you have any questions along the way I'm happy to help.

Gotta say, it's humours to me when the tables turn and both Windows and Mac are like second class citizens, because fewer people around these parts use them. I feel a little evil but it's strangely satisfying, lol.

I tried to a few weeks ago and the AI assisting me said that I should make an issue with the devs because something about the dependencies being messed up due to somehow the dev bundled it. AI could have been wrong and just didn't know how to use Monero.

I can't really test the whole thing because I don't have the storage, but I could do the initial startup if needed.

Edit: Alright I'm testing it with an external SSD.
Notes:
why did it list bootstrap in the summary after I chose run my own node? This is right after there was the option to use the remote Monerodevs.org node or start my own and it also called selecting the Monerodevs node as bootstrapping so that's confusing.

Okay daemon failed to start timed out daemon is not responding after 120 seconds.
please check your wallet and daemon log for errors. you can also try to start Monerod manually.

Offtopic: I tried closing the wallet and it just spun saying closing wallet. Eventually the visual closed, but app still open. Okay, finally it closed after stalling and letting me force quit, but I didn't.

Trying again. This time I removed bootstrap address.

I understand the bootstrap from earlier.

I don't see an option to specify my daemon port. It let's you choose the bootstrap port.

Timed out, local node is not responding after 120 seconds.

Please check your wallet and daemon log for errors. You can also try to start monerod manually.

I can't get it working. I can send logs to someone privately if you want.
