@Nebuchadnezzar_II I didn't read through the whole thing yet, but piqued my interest and will be finishing it. But yea for all its faults, the sheer size of the US, plus the whole 50 state aspect (which originally were essentially very loosely federated independent nation-states) makes top down tyranny much harder. It saved a lot of headaches for many during the covid coup. Plus as you said, guns. A fuck ton of them. On record, close to a half billion. Plus whatever isnt known about. And with that many, there mere possibility of them being used against to control freaks gives them pause on many things. I myself am somewhat near a large Amish community (maybe an hour or so drive) and likely in part to them, raw dairy is legal in my state. Got a gallon in the fridge right now, plus some raw goat cheese. Ican't and won't do the ppasteurized shit ever again. If I ever move out of state, raw dairy availablity is going to be one pof the deciding factors. ANd contrary to what the faces on the screens and the twitterati would like to have people believe, its not nearly as bad societally as is presented. Sure there are really shitty major cities across the country, but that's far from unique to the US.
