@vks007 So I think a big mistake very often made is focusing too much on privacy. This seems counter intuitive but it is ultimately why Monero dominates among privacy advocates. The reason is because while privacy is important, it is only one piece of the puzzle. I've attached a screenshot from my monerotopia presentation which explains why Monero is used on DNMs, but we can substitute that with the OP question as to what makes Monero stand out.
Strong grassroots crypto-anarchist culture - Probably the most defining factor. This drives adoption because crypto-anarchists genuinely want an alternative to money.
Built-in privacy - Another extrememly important distinction. Built-in privacy shows that Monero developers are aware of optional privacy usage statistics. We also remove any type of pretentioness from the forumula and say that everyone using Monero will be safer, even the noobs.
Active development/resarch - We aren't a scam and have proven research adopted by other projects (e.g. randomx, fcmp++)
No premine - Monero isn't a scam.
Proudly open source and funded by donations within the community - No dev tax, embracing FOSS principles, against proprietary solutions, OK with slow but steady growth.
Network Effect - Monero's continued growth in adoption over the years is proof of this.
Not being scared of DNM adoption - Convtroversial, but this shows that Monero users are mature to see the distinction that usage in DNMs means it works.
Use Monero - A culture based on using a cryptocurrency is, ironically, unique in the space.
Not being afraid of conflicting ideoligies / politics - Monero culture is that we treat everyone equal. Monero is a commodity. We support being cordial and dislike censorship.
