I get the market is down over all but -17% drop in a day is crazy. What happened?

Apparently the pump is suspected because of a group of hacker buy $23 million worth of xmr

During the QUBIC mining pool disaster, I bought a large amount of Monero at around $270. Recently, the price surged to $500, $600, and even $720. I struggled internally over whether to sell temporarily for arbitrage. In the end, I decided to treat Monero as currency I spent rather than a speculative tool. If I wanted to gamble, I could play slot machines at a casino countless times—there’s no need to keep doubting and questioning my own needs.

yea pretty much same here, didnt get to use/sell at the top top tho, but like, during the pump then spent to buy some things too, refill some subscriptions (paid in monero directly) and whatnot
but then at $700 was already way too broke lol, wanted to tho, but yea just couldnt lol
then whatever the price, just using it anyways when needing to
then when price gets lower, refilling when can so can keep using the monero :P
rn just waiting it off, subscriptions are refilled already, not planning to buy some more hardware or anything like that for now, will see how it goes

Tether froze 72 million in usdt after blah blah blah. Price bump was likely related to an entity that received 120million in usdt and made many xmr buy orders with it

I hate tether, I hate the anti christ
