while i couldnt care less about the xmr-btc side on haveno, last time the attack didnt affect fiat trades, but who knows what the actually issue is right now so just in case fiat would also be affected (hopefully not):

there's just been some rot going in the community too, even when xmrbazaar just went back online, they had to deal with scams:
so while monero itself has many adversaries
haveno (a DEX) could also be seen as a competition to other DEXs
so to clear things up, while i play videogames, no i did not do the haveno hijacking thing back in may:

the competition to haveno is bullshit cryptocasino / gambling bullshit anyways, trading the cryptocoin for an other cryptocoin, gambling on the market, not bringing anything of value but just gambling bullshit
so basicswap is not even a competition to haveno there
haveno - allows people to live off of monero as an actual on/offramp, bring actual value to the space
other dexes - just bullshit gambling for degenerate gamblers, doesnt bring anything of value to the space
