I spent three days here, and throughout that time, I felt that everything on the Monero forum was very serious; even in the lounge, most of the discussion revolved around technical topics.

@fantuan I am thinking of a blockchain with a 1 year blocktime where each PoW is an international competition of great spectacle like a fighting tournament or a great race. Every competition (and location) is different and determined by the hash of the last block. This is a good proof of human work system because it doesn't rely on a third party validation; it is hard to fake because it is so public and spectacular.

Basically, whoever wins an absurd international spectacular competition gets to mine the annual block and get the block reward.
