monero not just a money, its a tool for privacy and people gonna use more in next couple years
i see more the aspect of permissionless money that unlocks much more possibilities, than the privacy aspect of it tbh
like, sure, privacy awesome
but the usecase of permissionless money, to for example purchase an internet subscription on mobile, without having to bother with all those extra steps that are so bothersome or things like that, then that’s where i currently see value in the usecase
and then, it’s pretty much the whole ecosystem around it
like, who knows, monero could still fail and a better tool could still be figured out, it’s still a pretty new tech, even bitcoin which is slightly older, the track record is still pretty new
but yea, it’s a tool for privacy, for freedom, for alot of things
meanwhile banking system be like “oh wait, ur electric bill was like $200 bucks, so now u cant buy $300 of groceries cause those debit card limit, try again later”
like wut, that’s not people’s money if literally need the permission of the bank…
and to call the bank “please bank, can u up the limit just for today? i literally just trynna feed myself and the doggos with the money that’s in my account, like, sure, i could go without eating for couple days maybe, but doggos need to eat, why u be liek that bank, just allow me to purchase the food with my own money yea?”
and the bank might be like “have u tried cash maybe?”
so then i would be like “yea i tried cash but the place i tried to buy food they dont accept those 100 dollar bills…. it’s like wtf even is this, just lemme buy the food yea? isnt cash supposed to be money? wtf am i supposed to do, bring some gold coins like we in some medievial rpg videogame or somethin?”
so anyways, my bad shitposting, tldr, dont need no permission with monero, can buy the food, the drugs, the videogames and the government cant tell me “u cant do drugs and play videogames with your hard earned money”
