Lazy af to do a properly formated thread or whatever the fuck right now on that monero forum thing so I’ll just sum shits up real quick I guess.
just look at this shit:
forums [dot] d2jsp [dot] org/forum.php?f=268
That part of this videogaming forum has activity in a bunch of threads multiple times each minutes, it’s for “Non-Ladder” but there is also “Ladder” part of the forum and different shits, also different videogames.
It dont use Monero but the forum currency “Forum Gold” (FG) - that has actual $ value
Which is even older than Bitcoin, the forum is around since 2001, literally lol.
Proof of Work (PoW) pre-cursor from botting.
Meanwhile, xmrbazaar is so poorly designed (like actually so so bad) and just wouldnt fit that community at all.
An other example of a properly designed website that fit that specific community:
traderie [dot] com/diablo2resurrected
Can literally search items by stats and whatnot on there.
It’s not microtransactions bullshits, it’s literally Peer to Peer from videogamers/botters to videogamers/botters P2P trading, nothing to do with microtransactions, actual P2P Circular Economy bigger than the DNMs.
Meanwhile it has been completely ignored by the cryptobros while it’s around for 24 years now (since 2001).
Here’s an insightful video from a content creator explaining a bit those markets (d2jsp mentioned at around the 15mins mark):
youtube [dot] com/watch?v=XL5NtMZHc_Q
(use a privacy respecting youtube frontend like invidious or piped or whatever the fuck)
Like, you heard about kraken? The crypto exchange?
d2legit [dot] com now redirects to kraken, literal piece of shit centralized exchange instead of /u/jespow growing the P2P circular economy through cryptocoins, he just went to build some bullshit CEX instead.
There’s other importers websites too.
Last ladder, one of those importer website (clakk-com) even played the leaderboard and got #2 SC this Ladder season: d2emu [dot] com/ladder?s=12&t=all-scxp
While Monero got #8 HC this Ladder season: d2emu [dot] com/ladder?s=12&t=all-hcxp
wtf next? just be like “xmrbazaar-com” while the whole UI of xmrbazaar is just so bad? fuck that shit lol
Anyways, yall should come play videogames with me and actually onboard that market.
I just bought an other dozens instances of the game (can easily run 10x instances on Ryzen integrated Graphics without even having a dedicated GPU, 64GB RAM minimum for 10x tho).
xmr [dot] cards/brand/blizzard-battle-net-usa
xmr [dot] cards/brand/blizzard-battle-net-eu
The game is “D2R” (released in 2021 as a remastered version of “Diablo 2” (the other diablo games from the franchise are straight up garbage), D2 is the one that got it right regarding P2P trading because even with the bots, odds on items to roll the proper values are in impossible numbers (even with bots), making the economy of it still alive decades later).
It was on sale for like 13 euros / $15 or so during black friday but is often on sale again through the year, who knows, maybe will again during xmas or somethin lol.
There is ofc many other videogames that supports trading as well (Path of Exile and things like that too), or Eloboosting in League of Legends or things of that nature as well.
But even on D2, selling rush services is a thing too, so is not just “Goods” (items) but also “Services” that are a thing on that P2P Circular economy thing.
For now I’ll keep focusing specifically on that D2R market (while being pro-player level on other videogames).
As of right now, I nuked my twitch streaming account, did an account deletion request for my xmrchat account.
But I’ll still keep playing the videogames, keep learning about those markets and rotating identities or whatever the fuck.
For anyone wanting to bring liquidity from that market into Monero, there are fungible items (fungible like Monero) with actual $ value that can be used as currency within the game already.
Since there is often banwave of bots, those values can go up again.
For example on “Non Ladder”, a 3/20/20 Fine Small Charm of Vita would be worth around $100 (literally can be used like a fungible $100 bill and can be found in-game)
Can use:
maxroll [dot] gg/d2/d2planner/
or things like that to have an idea of the odds to roll something with specific values)
a 20/5@ Shimmering Small Charm of Vita is worth around $30 or so
a “Jah Rune” is worth around $1
And again, those are not “microtransactions” bullshits, that’s literally what videogamers/botters finding in the game and are trading with other videogamers/botters (nothing to do with “microtransactions” bullshits).
Proof of Work before Proof of Work was called “Botting the videogame” and is still infinitely more profitable as of today than trying to mine Monero as a loss on expensive electricity.
Monero lost in term of mining profitability to a market that has been here for 24 years (way before Bitcoin), funny shits, just sayin x)
Anyways, come play videogames with me.
There was an up to date Monero thread on the “Investment & Finance” subforum category on d2jsp from few months ago but has been deleted by the admin recently (after some theatric bullshits dealing with glowies that hijacked the Monero hierarchy on those Matrix channels and CCS bullshits and whatnot), the thread from 2023 is still there, tho, closed now after 3 months of inactivity (since moved to the newer thread)
TLDR:
Videogamers are more based than the “Monero Community” since now alot of them are becoming Linux videogamers
So come join me learning about those P2P circular economy markets and playing the videogames so could on the long run onboard those OG P2P circular economy videogamers into like Monero (tho xmrbazaar is just so shit design-wise ngl, aintnoway I would be able to shill xmrbazaar with a straight face to that OG market lmao)
